Quick Start

Plugin + skill setup in under 10 minutes

Same visual system, same buttons, same site chrome — just the practical setup path. Install the plugin, drop in one config block, restart the gateway, and make sure the native boss_pig_* tools show up.

1) Generate API key

Sign in to the Boss Pig dashboard.
Generate an API key and copy it.

You’ll drop that into skills.entries.boss-pig.apiKey.

2) Install plugin

# create a stable local plugins dir
mkdir -p ~/.openclaw/plugins && cd ~/.openclaw/plugins

# if package is published on npm:
npm i @openrowlf/boss-pig

# otherwise install from GitHub:
npm i github:openrowlf/boss-pig-plugin

Install into a stable local plugin directory and point OpenClaw at the installed package folder.

3) Required OpenClaw config

4) Restart + smoke test

Restart gateway

Restart OpenClaw so the plugin and skill config are picked up cleanly.

Verify tools

Open an agent session and confirm boss_pig_list_todos is present.

Run one smoke test

List todos, then create or update one test task. Expected: native boss_pig_* tools work without curl hacks.

Troubleshooting

Skill visible but tools missing: make sure the plugin is enabled and the gateway was restarted.
Auth errors: verify skills.entries.boss-pig.apiKey.
No nudges: verify bosspig heartbeat is enabled at your desired cadence.
